What We Offer

By bringing unique services to our customers, we are able to differentiate ourselves from the competition. H&W comes to you! No need to haul your logs to us, then come back and pickup your lumber. Although that is an option. If we come to you, we will cut and stack your lumber. You will have some debris left over, but that even makes for a good bonfire. We only travel a 50 mile radius from Waxhaw N.C. At the present time. This is a part time business (weekends and evenings). This changes according to the weather and daylight. We Now use Google Earth which enables us to find your place via satellite, saving even more time.To really Save BIG, you can bring your logs to us. See more on rates below.

I like to make it as simple as possible for our clients to work with us. By developing a relationship with each customer, I hope that they will contact us for any needs that may arise in the future.

Rates for Standard milling:

In-House: $45.00 per hour with a 2 hour min. This rate covers, the Sawyer & the mill.

Mobile jobs, are $55.00 an hour and there is a 4 hour min. This rate covers the Sawyer & the mill. There is an additional $10 per hour for a helper.

There is a 50% deposit on jobs of a 500BF or more. To be paid in advance of job start up.

Customer MUST PAY the min. when I get there & the rest before I leave & the job is done NO EXCEPTIONS.

There is a $25.00 fee for each blade damaged, due to foreign objects in your logs. (This includes: exsesive mud, Rocks, Nails, Horseshoes etc.)

Logs Must be at least 12" inches in diameter at the small end.

We do accept PayPal payments for deposits or if you choose to pay in advance of your lumber being sawn.

Customer Responsibilities:

Cleaning mud, dirt and debris from logs.

(Mud, dirt, rocks & nails will kill a blade costing the Customer $25.00 blade fees for each blade. Mud is the most common cause for dull blades. Nails & other tramp metal IS the customers responsibilitie. I can't stress this enough.)

Cutting logs to the desired length.

Moving logs to one central location.

Positioning logs parallel to each other.

A level area to saw and stack lumber on your site.

If I have to do these things, the time will be added to your bill at the regular hourly rate. This includes in house & onsite milling services.
